About Us
Welcome to the OULU MOSA!C Lab website.
The MOSA!C Lab is led by Prof. Tarik Taleb. The lab belongs to the Centre for Wireless Communications (CWC) – Networks and Systems Unit, Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu.
It is part of the Oulu 6G Flagship.
The MOSA!C Lab consists of a group of highly-dynamic and highly-enthusiastic researchers with strong expertise in different areas relevant to mobile networking, cloud computing, software engineering, and embedded systems. The lab applies Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to optimize different aspects of the mobile networking arena.
The lab is involved in several research projects funded by the European Commission, Academy of Finland, and Business Finland. It heavily works on Mobile Network Softwarization and Service Customization, hence the naming, and that is towards the vision of enabling autonomous telco cloud.
The philosophy beneath MOSA!C Lab is to join efforts and expertise from different area to conduct high-quality multidisciplinary research with impact on relevant standards. It conducts research on the following four topics in support of different mobile services:
Zero-touch telco cloud management, network softwarization and slicing.
Networking over edge cloud continuum.
AI-based software-defined security provisioning.
UAV-based platform for the delivery of Internet of Things services.
