Helsinki5GWeek -- Call for Participation
The organizing committee is delighted to invite you to the IEEE 5G-IoT Summit Helsinki and the 2017 IEEE Conference on Standards for Communications & Networking (CSCN’17), going to be held in Helsinki, Finland, on September 18-21, 2017. The two events form together the Helsinki5GWeek. This series of events will provide a comprehensive vision of the emerging trends towards the upcoming 5G networks, especially accounting for the vertical perspectives.
The Helsinki5GWeek will be an excellent networking and publicity event with strong presence of industry, offering the opportunity for academics and industrial people to meet and exchange ideas and information. Representatives of all main stakeholders in the future 5G ecosystem will take part in the Helsinki5Gweek, ranging from network vendors and operators to several expected 5G verticals: Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, AT&T, DoCoMo, Telenor, Orange, ABB, etc.
Helsinki5GWeek will also deliver an extremely rich technical program discussing the emerging 5G mobile communications systems, vertical services and softwarization offering a dozen of technical sessions. The IEEE CSCN’17 sessions consist of technical papers reviewed and selected by an international technical program committee representing both academia and industry, with a strong standardization background.
Several keynotes and panels will enrich the program with insightful discussions on the future key 5G technologies. Indeed, the attendees will have the opportunity to learn and interact with experts on how 5G systems shall support promising use cases, such as healthcare, Industry 4.0, and automotive. The invited speakers are highly positioned within their companies, including VP of Nokia, VP of DOCOMO, VP of ABB, CTO of SONERA, CEOs and founders of SMEs.
Helsinki5GWeek will be also a platform for presenting and discussing standards-related topics in the areas of communications, networking and related disciplines, facilitating standards development as well as cooperation among the key players. The recent advances in the main standardization bodies (e.g., IEEE, 3GPP, IETF, BBF, and ITU-T) will be extensively discussed during the conference.
